Homemade Tesla Cybertruck driving down highway goes viral and sparks thousands of internet jokes

A video on Twitter shows what appears to be someone’s interpretation of the Tesla Cybertruck.
The vehicle, wearing a cardboard cutout to resemble the electric pickup, was captured driving down the highway.
It just goes to show, people have had to wait so long for the high-anticipated EV, they’re taking matters into their own hands.
As to be expected, when a video as hilarious as this gets posted, the internet can’t pass up the opportunity to crack jokes.
“Not bad for $3,500,” one user humorously remarked, suggesting the low budget behind the re-creation.
A significant portion of the comments took aim at online shopping platforms known for imitation products.
“Cybertruck – Wish version,” one user quipped, drawing parallels between the ‘replica’ vehicle and the less-than-authentic products found on the website.
“I think bro ordered his on Wish dot com,” another user joked.
“China starting to make Cybertrucks now!?!!” a third exclaimed.
If we could gloss over this ‘creative’ take on the Cybertruck, there’s been no shortage of videos of genuine Cybertrucks being tested.
Drone pilot Joe Tegtmeyer recently posted aerial footage of Giga Texas which showed revitalized activity at the factory.
His video captured the entire factory, but he also caught a rare glimpse of what could be the unicorn, the actual production-ready Tesla Cybertruck.
Understandably, his video showing Tesla’s progress rekindled excitement among Cybtertruck reservation holders.
Back to the homemade Tesla Cybertruck video – not all reactions were centered around mockery.
“My son loves the way it looks,” one user posted, expressing genuine admiration.
But the majority of people found the spectacle amusing.
“I’ve wanted one of these since I saw them, but this video ruined it: it looks like a toy car,” a user confessed.
They shouldn’t worry, though, as the real deal is bound to look much better when they start rolling off the production line before the end of the year.
