This is what the new Lamborghini Lanzador looks like in the metal

This crazy jacked-up coupé is the new Lamborghini Lanzador concept, the first all-electric Lamborghini.

The concept coupé is stacked with incredible features from front to back including an ‘active wing’, and all-new tech including a ‘Terminator Button’.

“We started with a super sports car and we lifted it in a higher position,” Lamborghini’s head of design Mitja Borkert said.

Much like the Italian brand‘s off-road supercar – the Sterrato – the Lamborghini Lanzador has an elevated pilot position.

But the all-electric GT car’s design inspiration doesn’t stop there.

With a very low profile – 16cm lower than the Urus to be precise – the Lanzador’s DLO (daylight opening) draws inspiration from the Murciélago.

Reminiscent of the Huracán is a crisp, sharp Y-shape element along the car’s side profile.

Then, sitting below that Y-shape is an air vent, like the one seen on the Miura in the 1960s and 70s.

And just like the Sián, the Lanzador has an aero tunnel which creates enough air to go into a blown diffuser that sits before the rear wheels.

To round things off, the Lanzador has a shark nose and sharp lines, so there’s no chance of mistaking it for anything other than a Lambo.

But while the concept follows in the design footsteps of its predecessors, it also features all new tech.

For example, the front end of the Lanzador has pilot glass with a built-in radar system.

Also integrated into the front of the car is an active wing, moving up and down depending which drive mode has been selected.

As well as being its first ever all-electric vehicle, the Lamborghini Lanzador boasts another first for the brand – a completely new interior design.

Blown away by the seats and bone-like rubber detailing, Alex also noticed another new feature of the GT car.

The Lanzador doesn’t have a transmission tunnel, meaning there’s plenty of storage space for personal belongings.

Other cool features include a flat-bottom steering wheel with control buttons, pop-display screens for both driver and passenger, and aircraft-inspired air vents.

Convenience was clearly at the forefront of Borkert’s mind when designing the car, as the ‘Terminator Button’ can be used to control multiple functions when driving.

And, to allow light to flood into the Lanzador’s cabin, a panoramic roof consisting of three separate glass pieces has been incorporated into the interior design.

There’s no shortage of space in the car’s trunk, which is shown in the video with multiple pieces of luggage, a surfboard and even a skateboard thrown in there.

What’s really cool is that the trunk floor can be lowered and raised at the touch of a button on the tailgate.

As for power, that’s still being kept under wraps, but Borkert said “it’s enough”.

The Lanzador will debut in 2028 and so with four years to wait until we see it for real, we’ll have to take his word for it.

In the meantime, we’ll just stare at these beautiful images of it.
