This is the Lucid Air Sapphire, the world’s most powerful sedan

This is the Lucid Air Sapphire, and it is so fast it will blow your mind.

In fact, it’s faster than any Ferrari, any Lamborghini, and faster than (nearly) every other car in the world.

Supercar Blondie’s Alex Hirschi had the chance to take it for a spin, you can check out the full video here!

The Sapphire is one of the most powerful sedans in the world, with 1,234 horsepower under its belt.

It has three engines, two at the back and one at the front, and a top speed of 205 mph – or 330 km/h.

The car’s top speed is impressive, but nowhere near as impressive as its acceleration.

From standstill, the Sapphire will dart to 60 mph (100 km/h) in just 1.89 seconds.

What makes these performance figures appear even crazier is the way this car looks because from the outside, this is just an ordinary sedan.

It’s assembled in Arizona but its heart belongs to California, and it shows.

The hub caps are adorned with a silhouette of the California bear, the same one that appears on the State flag, and the same bear is also applied on the wheel arches.

Visually, it’s long and sleek, with a low-slung aluminum roof and supercar-style 20-inch wheels at the front and 21-inch wheels at the back.

The wing mirrors are made from carbon fiber, as is the lip spoiler at the back.

Lucid Motors went the extra mile to make the car feel special, and the attention to detail is uncanny.

The infotainment screen, for example, disappears at the click of a button in order to give you access to a hidden storage compartment.

And for the cabin they’ve used four different materials: Alcantara, Nappa leather, real wood and… alpaca wool.

How cool is that? And it’s sustainable, too.

You shear the Alpaca and use its wool, and the animal’s wool coat will simply grow back.

In addition to the infotainment screen that disappears, you also have a 34-inch wraparound screen as the instrument cluster.

The Lucid Air Sapphire is a Jack of all trades, but also an Ace of all trades.

In addition to being comfortable on the inside and having the biggest frunk of any sedan, it is also a track-friendly beast.

The car has four modes: Smooth, Swift, Sapphire and Track.

In Smooth and Swift, you’ve ‘only’ got access to 700 horsepower, whereas in Sapphire you’ve got all 1,234 hp.

And then lastly, in Track mode, you can also select Dragstrip, Hot Lap or Endurance and the car will adjust accordingly.

And did we mention the carbon-ceramic brakes?

This being an electric car, people will likely worry about range but there’s no need to.

It does 427 miles on a charge, and if you’re in a hurry, bear in mind it only takes 20 minutes to go from zero to 300+ miles of range.

Now all that comfort, all that power, all that tech comes at a price.

The Air Sapphire starts at $249,000.
