Despite being a brand intentionally parked in the 1920s, producing modern twists on vintage cars, the new Morgan Supersport comes as the biggest deviation from its staple classic designs that have become so synonymous with the company.
Morgan operates in black and white, throwing us back to silent movies starring Charlie Chaplin and watching Babe Ruth swing for the heavens in a Yankees jersey.
But after decades of throwbacks to its chosen golden age period, its new Supersport has shifted into the 21st century.
After revealing the Morgan Supersport, the esteemed brand has gone automatic.

Morgan Supersport enters the 21st century and ditches Manual legacy
UK manufacturers Morgan – a rival to the likes of Rolls-Royce, Bentley, and Aston Martin – are the minds and hands behind some of the most beautiful cars on the planet.
Now, the Morgan Supersport is here, and at face value, it appears to be everything great with the vintage brand.
Its huge circular headlights, sweeping fenders, tiny two-person cabin, and nosedive horseshoe grille give off industry-era vibes. You can almost smell the charcoal of the post-WWI era rolling off its sporty hood.
Like every other model in the range, its Ford Model T influence is still extremely heavy. Still, this Supersport is Morgan’s most modern yet, with its engine makeup thrusting the generational body into 2025.
The Morgan Supersport comes with an exclusively automatic transmission, completely ruling out manual shifting for the first time.

The auto-only spec is no slouch though.
The elephant’s trunk of a hood hides a BMW ‘B58’ 3.0-liter turbocharged straight-six underneath sleek aluminum, throwing 335 horsepower to the wheels.
Its ZF eight-speed auto is a popular choice for many BMW vehicles, and it’s no surprise that Morgan chose to opt for this transmission, even without the option of a Manual alternative.
Previous iconic Morgan cars have used BMW’s engines and transmissions to perfection, much like the often-forgotten AeroMax.
Jumping, not skipping, into 2025
Of course, the Morgan Supersport hasn’t compromised any of its luxury with its new cars.
The British manufacturers didn’t skip a beat when pouring finesse and class into its most modern car to date.
In typical fashion, the Supersport carries Morgan’s track record of pristine design, modern motoring, and classical homages.

The car was unveiled at a live show featuring former Top Gear star Richard Hammond.
Prices on the Morgan Supersport start at a steep $100k, but won’t be sold throughout the United States, making it quite a rarity outside of Great Britain.
