Ethan Guo is trying to create history by becoming the youngest solo pilot to fly to all seven continents.

As extraordinary as his journey sounds, it’s equally as dangerous.

At only 18 years old, he’s taking on one of the most challenging adventures ever, and all for a great cause: raising awareness and funds to fight cancer.

Now two months into his mission, Ethan has shared a heartfelt update, saying he’s ‘just glad to be alive’.

Teenage pilot flying for a great cause

Ethan’s story shared on his TikTok account is truly inspiring, but the fame and love he’s earned hasn’t come easy.

His first attempt to fly solo around the world was a big failure.

A few months ago, his first flight ended abruptly when his engine failed, leaving him stranded.

Despite the setback, he refused to give up.

Now Ethan has successfully crossed the Atlantic, flown over Europe, and is heading to Africa, his third continent.

But his journey is about more than just setting records.

He visits hospitals and meets patients, all while raising much needed funds to fight cancer.

Ethan’s passion turned into a fundraising mission when his cousin was diagnosed with stage four cancer.

As for his love for flying, Ethan’s had that running through his veins since he was a child.

In fact, at 13, he began homeschooling to focus on his dream.

Inspiration for many

Ethan’s journey has inspired people worldwide and he’s ammassed a big following of supporters.

One concerned follower commented on his video, ‘I genuinely thought you quit on us,’ to which Ethan simply replied, ‘never’.

“Your story shows how you can literally do whatever you want if you put your mind to it,” one commenter said.

“Praying for your safety and your family! What a beautiful story and journey!” said another.

Just like this 15-year-old who’s already amassed a multimillion-dollar supercar collection, this teenage pilot is doing big things at a young age.

What an inspiration.
