Qatar has been under the global spotlight since the World Cup first kicked off.

But until now, Qatar’s fleet of police cars has slipped under the radar.

Just like its next-door neighbor Dubai, Qatar is apparently adding exotic high-performance cars to its police fleet.

The Qatar Police have been using the Lamborghini Urus since the start of the World Cup on November 20.

The luxury SUV is painted white with red and blue police decals.

In addition to that, there’s a sticker that reads ‘Tournament Security Force’ on the side of the car – which leads us to believe the Urus was brought in especially for the Cup.

The black wheels with red brake calipers complete the look.

Like other countries in the Middle East, Qatar is trying to attract tourism and investments.

Hosting the World Cup this year and the Asian Cup in 2023 is part of this strategy.

Even the fact that the police are using Lambos to patrol the streets is part of the same masterplan.

Lamborghini recently opened a massive showroom in the capital, Doha.

Qatar’s Lamborghini Urus is powered by the same 641-hp 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 as the standard model that everyone can buy.

Well, when we say everyone, we mean everyone with $230,000 to splash on a car.

The Lambo is certainly more exciting than the sedans and SUVs that the American police use.

Mind you, you probably don’t want to find yourself in the back seat of a Lambo police car in Qatar.

Or anywhere else for that matter.
