Saudi Prince’s gold-plated cars seen around London

A Saudi Prince has been spotted driving around in gold-plated supercars.

These head turning vehicles began appearing in London and were promptly shared to social media.

They are the possession of a young member of the extended Saudi royal family.

Turki bin Abdullah spent thousands to have his vehicles transported to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

It’s chump change compared to the amount that was spent on the cars to begin with.

As a prince with billions at his disposal, he’s got money to spare.

As do all the Saudi royals, as evident by the Crown Prince gifting Lil Wayne a very pricey watch and Lamborghini.

The Daily Beast reported that much of the gold plating done on his car was the work of West Coast Customs’ Dubai branch.

You may recall that they’re the firm featured in the MTV shop Pimp My Ride, of which many cars have been featured.

Among the showy vehicles in Abdullah’s fleet is a gigantic Mercedes-AMG G63 6×6.

As reported by The Sun, this huge car has a powerful twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 engine.

With six 18-inch alloy wheels at its disposal, this car needs all the power it can get.

Also in his collection is a Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe and a Lamborghini Aventador SV.

The latter is so rare that only 600 were known to exist.

It can go from 0 to 60mph in just 2.8 seconds, though that’s probably not best suited for the streets of London.

So, why was the prince seen driving around London and not Saudi Arabia?

At the time the prince was first spotted in London, his home country was going through something of a financial squeeze.

In 2017, a crash in oil price saw Saudi citizens being asked to be more fiscally responsible and the royals being told not to be overly showy with their wealth.

That, and an extremely humid spring, were offered up by The Daily Beast as theories as to why Abdullah was spending so much time in London.
