In 2013, Rockstar Games did something pretty amazing to promote GTA 5 – bringing the Bravado Banshee from their video game into real life.

If you’ve played GTA 5, you know the Banshee is fast, stylish, and a firm fan favorite.

The move quickly gained attention online and proved to be a clever way to promote the game.

It’s a story that both gamers and car enthusiasts will find fascinating and unforgettable.

The time when Rockstar built Bravado Banshee to promote GTA 5

The car wasn’t just a random build, it was a collaboration project between Rockstar and West Coast Customs, the famous custom car shop that brought us creations like Shaq O’Neal’s bespoke Rolls-Royce Phantom.

West Coast Customs gave the Banshee a look that matched its GTA 5 version perfectly.

Even car fans who didn’t play GTA couldn’t help but admire how cool the Banshee looked.

The real Banshee made its first public appearance at the 2013 E3 gaming expo – the biggest event in gaming where companies showcase their upcoming games and projects.

Rockstar knew the Banshee would grab everyone’s attention there, and they were right.

The car became a showstopper. Fans and gamers couldn’t stop talking about it, just like when people couldn’t stop admiring the real-life Need for Speed: Most Wanted BMW M3 GTR.

Bravado Banshee from GTA 5 drove as amazingly as it looked.

It came with upgrades like a V8 engine, custom suspension, and better brakes. And on the inside, there were even features inspired by the game.

The car was later sold for charity

However, the Banshee wasn’t meant to stay forever. It wasn’t something that would appear in GTA Online or become a regular car for players.

Instead, it was a special promo to hype up the game and it did its job perfectly.

Finally, after its time in the spotlight, Rockstar decided to auction off the car for charity.

The car had a big share in making the GTA 5 the most legendary game by Rockstar ever.
