This TikTok creator owns a Toyota Corolla that only cost her $6,000.

The reason why it ‘only’ cost $6,000 is simple, and it’s just the fact the car is very old.

It’s a 1997 model which, when you think about it, means $6,000 is perhaps even a bit much.

But, the silver lining is it’ll probably run forever.

This Toyota Corolla is probably ‘unkillable’

Rissa, who goes by hunterswifey on TikTok, shared a video to talk about her 1997 Toyota Corolla.

She said she only paid $6,000 for it and that, to be totally honest, isn’t exactly cheap for an 28-year-old car with 78,000 miles on the clock.

But there are at least two huge benefits we can see here.

First, as confirmed by Rissa, the vehicle is cheap to run, and obviously there’s no car note – monthly payment – because she bought it outright.

Second, as somebody in the comments correctly pointed out, 28 years for a Toyota is, generally speaking, nothing.

“78k? You’ve got another 100 years,” one of her followers posted in the comments.

A car like this can easily be driven for 780,000 miles.

Why everyone thinks Toyota is so reliable

If we asked 1,000 random people to name five car brands they would consider reliable, we can reasonably assume most of them would name Volvo and Toyota.

The world’s most famous high-mileage car is a Volvo, and we can find endless examples of how Toyotas can survive just about anything and everywhere.

We know that some Toyota models, especially the Hilux pick-up truck, can take on the most challenging terrain imaginable and survive, and they can also climb steep hills.

And it goes further – some Toyotas can even survive wildfires.
