Walmart drone delivery takes the internet by storm

If you forget milk at Walmart or just need a quick treat from the candy aisle, you may be able to get it dropped off at your house from above.

The retail giant now runs a drone delivery service across seven states and 36 stores.

We’ve already seen how useful drones can be, after a guy attached his phone to one to send a rescue message after getting stuck in the snow.

Watch a Walmart drone delivery in action in the video down below!

The service, run in partnership with Wing, means customers can get essentials from their local Walmart delivered to their homes in 30 minutes or less.

Customers use the Wing delivery app to select their items, which are then loaded onto a cable and sent soaring into the sky.

Walmart delivery drones can deliver to homes in a six-mile radius of the store.

When the drone reaches the customer’s house, it then lowers down to about 25 feet.

It then releases the package, which is on a tether that slowly and gently lowers down.

So gently, you can even feel safe ordering fragile items like eggs.
