The truth is, Clemente doesn’t have a hidden skill like Bill Gates nor does he have a secret to making his millions – he hails from the prominent Del Vecchio family.

His father, Leonardo Del Vecchio, was an Italian billionaire businessman renowned as the founder and chairman of Luxottica.

Luxottica is in fact the world’s largest producer and retailer of glasses and frames, so that should give you an idea of the sort of money we’re talking.

When his father passed away, Clemente Del Vecchio and his five siblings inherited a vast fortune, propelling them to the ranks of the world’s wealthiest individuals.

At the time of his death, Leonardo’s net worth was estimated at an astonishing $24.1 billion, making him the second wealthiest person in Italy and the 54th worldwide.

Although little is known about Clemente, the teenager possesses a staggering $3.5 billion fortune, primarily attributed to his late father’s eyeglass empire.

But, despite being the world’s youngest billionaire, Clemente holds a low profile and don’t have any direct involvement in his father’s companies – for the time being anyway.

Focused on his studies and interests, he’s said to have a keen interest in science and technology, and has expressed a desire to attend a college and pursue a career in these fields.

That being said, taking over the reigns of a previously built empire might not be Clemente’s only venture.

He’s also interested in real estate, and reportedly owns several luxury properties in Italy, including a villa in Lake Como and an apartment in Milan.

It’s understood Clemente’s already ventured into the world of investment, too, take some risks with the likes of FlixBus and Zoom.

As the world’s youngest billionaire, Clemente is in a position to make a real impact, and it will be interesting to see where his journey takes him in the years to come.
