Disney’s groundbreaking ‘HoloTile’ lets you walk anywhere in VR

It's even more clever than it looks.
  • The HoloTile is a special type of mat designed for VR use
  • It simulates movement across wide spaces even though you’re never actually leaving the same spot
  • Two or more people can use it at the same time

Disney is introducing a new product that absolutely changes the Virtual Reality (VR) game.

They call it the HoloTile, and it is essentially a mat made of tiles that move in concert in order to allow you to move in VR even though you’re actually never leaving the same spot.

CHECK IT OUT IN THE VIDEO DOWN BELOW!

HoloTile is designed for VR use, and it is going to be compatible with various VR headsets.

You don’t necessarily need to buy super expensive headsets such as the Apple Vision Pro to use it.

The idea is that you can wear a VR headset and safely walk, or even run, on the HoloTile without falling over or bumping into obstacles.

It’s genius.

And there’s more, too.

Two people can use it at the same time and move independently, because it recognizes each pattern and adjusts accordingly without affecting the other person.
