Undeniable genius created an RV out of three different vehicles

A guy in Texas who clearly knows what he’s doing has created a weird DIY RV out of three vehicles.

This strange but fascinating RV was built using a semi-truck, a fire truck and a heavy-duty wrecker.

The fact it can tow another vehicle with the built-in trailer is the icing on the cake.

The truck was spotted on South Padre Island in Texas – right by the SpaceX launch site – by a Facebook user and shared to a group on the social media platform for – wait for it – fire truck engine enthusiasts.

They take it quite seriously, and came up with a cool acronym for it, too.

It’s called the SPAAMFAA, which stands for Society for the Preservation & Appreciation of Antique Motor Fire Apparatus.

But we can totally see why somebody would be enthusiastic about this type of vehicle.

Pictures of the vehicle went viral, and Texan TV station ABC South Texas tracked down the owner of the vehicle, one Brian Portman, and what he had to say was quite interesting.

A semi-fire-wrecker-truck that’s also a trailer

Portman told ABC that he’s built fire trucks before, and his early attempts were disastrous.

“My first one, after ten years of building it, three years of use, burned down,” Portman told ABC.

The new truck combines a Peterbilt semi, a roof from a Volvo and bits and bobs from a fire truck and a wrecker, and it even has a trailer at the back where the owner can load up his car.

But you could also definitely call it an RV because the cabin has beds, a fridge and a kitchen.

DIY projects worthy of an Oscar

Some people are simply very good at DIY.

There’s a group of guys that built a DIY Pagani Huayra that, at least from afar, could fool most Pagani lovers.

And it looks like there’s no end to the creativity because it’s more than just cars.

Somebody built an actual pirate ship.

But our favorite is probably the DIY Batmobile that’s worthy of an Oscar for the best movie prop ever.
