If you’re someone who is fascinated by space travel and wants a truly ‘out of this world’ holiday, this Airbnb might be the destination for you.

This incredible property is cozy and comfortable but also offers visitors the opportunity to witness one of the most remarkable sights on this planet.

That’s because it sits just a few short kilometers from the SpaceX Starbase rocket facility in Boca Chica, Texas in the US.

While some people have witnessed Elon Musk’s spacecraft heading towards the stars from space, and others have seen it from an airplane, there can’t be many better places to witness the power of a huge rocket blasting off into the cosmos than this property.

Based in Port Isobel, which is a lovely community just across the water from SpaceX headquarters, the property can host four guests in two bedrooms, with one bathroom.

It isn’t a massive luxury penthouse pad or a fancy converted airplane, but it makes up for that by offering another truly unique selling point to customers.

Yep, that’s the view.

The Airbnb blurb reads: “A lovely cottage, with a clear view of SpaceX Starbase (5mi), [which] allows you to feel the roar of SpaceX rockets!

“All from the comfort of your cozy retreat, within an exclusive, private, guard-gated community!”

It continues: “This is one of the absolute closest places you can view SpaceX launches from.

“On the first test flight, pulverized sand actually fell on us after the launch.

“But that is very unlikely to happen again after they installed the Water Deluge system on the launchpad.

“You can watch safely from the covered patio or the driveway as shown in the photos.”

Well, thank goodness for that – space debris looks cool, but it would be no joke if a large piece landed on you.

Oh, and there are a couple of pools as well, just in case you fancy taking a dip to cool off after all that excitement – or if you’re covered in sand.

The listing also advertises that the property has a boat dock, although – understandably – there isn’t a boat included.

Still, you can sail your brand new Lamborghini Tecnomar yacht right up to it, should you be lucky enough to own one.

Within the complex, there’s a games room – complete with a mini-golf course – and a gym, as well as pool tables and all sorts to keep you entertained when huge quantities of rocket propellant aren’t being burned.

The cottage is hosted by a company called LIV The Dream, and you can certainly do that if you book in time for one of SpaceX’s big launch dates.

Will, one of the Airbnb hosts, told Supercar Blondie: “I moved here for SpaceX 3yrs ago from Los Angeles.

“I wanted the first launch I saw to be the largest rocket ever built.”

The owners of the property also give tours down at Starbase, so you’re in good hands if you want to get even closer to the action.

Whilst admitting that he’d never actually seen Elon himself, Will added: “The experience of being down there is out of this world.

“Watching these rockets get built and watching the changes to Starbase is like [something] out of a movie.

“We hope to help others who want to experience this for themselves have a great place to stay and a front-row seat to the best show on earth!”

If that sounds good, you can check out the full listing here.
