This guy bought a $400 junkyard vehicle, a Ford Taurus, which is a vehicle that used to be the best-selling car in the USA at some point.
He got it for a pittance, but the vehicle was in good condition, and he turned it into his daily driver.
You don’t hear much about the Taurus these days.
It’s a shame because they’re clearly good cars if you can buy one for $400 after years of neglect and still restore it and use it.

Can you use a 1993 Ford Taurus from a junkyard as a daily driver?
A YouTuber known as Shyzah documented his purchase on his YouTube channel.
He bought a 1993 Ford Taurus and saved it from the scrap yard.
It had many mechanical problems, and that’s on top of other issues with emissions testing and its title.
But all in all, these problems were clearly not insurmountable, and this guy got himself a Ford Taurus for less than it cost to buy a fake $4,000 Range Rover you can buy on the internet.
The best-selling car in the USA
Last year, in a fiery interview with the New York Times that went viral for other things he said, Elon Musk predicted the Model Y would go on to become the best-selling car in the world in 2023.
Ironically, the Model Y was the best-selling car in the world, but not in the USA.
That particular title, like every year for as long as we can remember, belongs to the Ford F-Series pick-up truck, followed by the Chevy Silverado, followed by the RAM truck.
In fact, we get to the fourth place in order to find something that isn’t a truck, the Toyota RAV4.
Those days are long gone but, a while back, the Taurus would frequently top this particular chart.
The second generation Ford Taurus became the best-selling car in the United States and retained that title until its retirement in 1995.
Ford no longer makes the Taurus, but some people still love it, including celebrities.
Conan O’Brien famously still owns one despite being worth nine figures.
