Louis Vuitton fashion designer Virgil Abloh teamed up with Nike to produce a limited-edition Air Force 1 sneaker and its latest auction price will leave you speechless.

Several pairs sold at a recent Sotheby’s auction but one pair took the crown as one of the world’s most expensive pairs of sneakers, selling for a whopping $352,800.

Each piece had a starting price of $2,000 and the price skyrocketed due to the demand.

The pair in question was a US size 5 and is living proof that there are in fact individuals out there willing to drop the price of a house on a pair of shoes draped in Louis Vuitton livery.

All shoes entered in the auction were pre-release units, with Abloh’s Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1s reportedly set for general release later this year.

But they are unlikely to come with the OTT lavish orange box.

While the price of the shoes might leave you questioning the state of the world, there is some good news to take from this.

The proceeds from Sotheby’s sale of the LV x Nike AF1 sneakers will benefit Abloh’s Fashion Scholarship Fund for Black students charity.
