“The Doctor”: A brief outline of a MotoGP icon
In the eyes of millions, Valentino Rossi is the greatest rider to ever swing his leg over a Grand Prix motorcycle.
The Italian, who debuted in the 500cc World Championship in 2000, quickly became beloved by an adoring audience.
Having started his premier class career with Repsol Honda, Rossi would move to Yamaha in 2004.
It was a move that shocked many, as Rossi left what was considered the best bike on the grid for what some argued was far worse.

But the Italian maestro would prove his doubters wrong, winning the MotoGP World Championship in his first season.
Three more premier class titles would follow, alongside legendary battles against Max Biaggi, Sete Gibernau, Jorge Lorenzo, Casey Stoner and Marc Marquez.
In 2021, Rossi retired from MotoGP, thus bringing the curtain down on arguably the most iconic rider ever to don a pair of leathers.
BMW and Rossi join forces
In 2022, it was announced that Rossi would join Team WRT to compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship.
Having become a BMW factory team in 2023, Rossi has developed ample experience in driving an M4.

Competing with the WRT BMW team, the team scored two podiums – second place in Imola, Italy and third in Fuji, Japan.
Rossi and BMW also scored top-five finishes under the lights of Lusail, Qatar, and in Brazil.
BMW celebrates Rossi’s birthday in style
To celebrate the legendary No. 46 turning 46, BMW decided to bring a very special gift to the party.
The BMW M4 CS Edition VR46 will be a limited run of just 92 units.
The new VR46 edition M4 will have 543bhp, as well as a 0-60 time of just 3.2 seconds.
Rossi’s birthday present also tops out at 188mph.
Aside from the subtle luminous yellow additions, the sides of the car, as well as the roof, get a massive “46” decal added.
How much will all of this Rossi-themed mania cost?
This is the expensive part.
To get your hands on one of these 92 M4 CS Edition VR46s, it’ll cost you $155,000.
That makes this the most expensive M4 ever made.
It is important to point out what else comes with the price tag, though.

Aside from a fire-breathing beast, you also get some very nice perks to match.
For one thing, you get to meet Valentino Rossi at his house/ranch in Tavullia, Italy.
Alongside that, you win yourself a BMW M Driving Experience at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli – aka, Rossi’s home turf.
Now, if you’ll excuse us, we’re off to see if we can find any spare change before all of these cars sell out.
