These brothers put a Bugatti Chiron SS on a Dyno and got a surprising result.
For those not in the know, a dynamometer is a device used to measure the torque and rotational speed of a car’s engine.
Simply put, torque is a measure of a car’s ability to work – so the higher the number, the more power that the engine is producing.
YouTube channel The Hamilton Collection wanted to put the SS to the test.

How did the Bugatti Chiron SS do on the Dyno?
Given that the channel were the first to dyno a Bugatti Chiron, they’re clearly in the business of achieving YouTube firsts.
With 1,600HP on the SS compared to the 1,500HP on the original, there was some curiosity about how it’d perform.
When it came time to put the SS to the test, it got off to a flying start.
It wasn’t long before the wheels became a blur and the noise generated made the garage sound like an airport runway.
“That was smooth! It didn’t move at all,” remarked one of the channel’s hosts.
Going at 200mph, the SS peaked at 1,441HP.
When adjusted for transmission losses of 14%, this brings it up to 1,675HP.
But that wasn’t all – the results were even more impressive when the car was ran in fourth gear rather than third.
The dyno showed that the SS made 1,492HP and 1,23Ib-ft of torque.
This equals an astonishing 1,734HP at the crank, as reported by The Supercar Blog.
Overall, that’s 134HP more than the advertised figure and more than 200 on what the usual Chiron could achieve.
Not that speed is all there is to the SS.
It’s not only a speed demon, but a total head turner in the looks department – just look at this Tennessee couple who got their cars customized.
How the internet reacted to this impressive display
Viewers of the channel were very taken with the dyno results.
One person commented: “I was on the fence between getting Chiron SS or a 2004 Chevy Cavalier but this sealed the deal.
“Those extra 1,600hp will come in handy for those mornings where the kids are running late to school…”
Another said: “The minute I saw the title, I knew this vid was gonna be sick.”
“That is a spaceship”, a fellow admirer wrote.
