When a Tesla Cybertruck Turns into a monster truck

This man is trying to sell a DIY Tesla Cybertruck for $70,000 and he claims it’s in perfect condition.

Facebook Marketplace is a treasure trove for rare and remarkable finds and this time is no different.

Well, according to the seller that is, because according to him, this is a ‘very fast’ Cybertruck in ‘perfect condition’.

Unsurprisingly, the listing is going viral for all the wrong reasons.

Tesla Cybertruck from Temu

The Facebook Marketplace listing was discovered by @conquercustom, who covered it in a YouTube video

“Look at this gem, a Telsa Cybertruck, the sought-after, ever most wanted, rare vehicle that everybody’s after,” he says.

The Tesla Cybertruck produced at the Gigafactory in Texas is priced between $81,985 and $101,985 depending on trim and options.

So this one listed in the Philippines for just $70,000 is quite the steal.

First one in the Philippines

According to the listing, which is still active by the way, it’s ‘the first Cybertruck in the Philippines’.

And tread cautiously, because the seller is not prepared to negotiate.

“No lowballs, I know what I got,” he says.

He said the truck was just given new tires too – so it’s ready to hit the road.

Unsurprisingly, the DIY truck has gotten a roasting in the comments.

“Cybertruck from Temu,” one person said.

“American innovation is back, baby,” another said tongue in cheek.

When the listing inevitably made its way to Reddit, the roasting continued, but in a different vein.

“It probably drives better than the original,” one said.

“The panel gaps are way smaller on this one. Elon, take notes,” another said.

While the truck in the listing does look a bit like the real thing, if you squint really really hard, we’d bet good money on the fact it probably can’t pull a 10,000lbs Rivian up a Colorado mountain road

It’s also pretty unlikely to be a legitimate EV, so while you might save a buck or two on the initial down payment, you’re unlikely to save any money on fuel in the long run

That aside, we’ll leave it up to you to judge if it’s worth the $70,000 listing price.
