A dust-filled 1989 Nissan 240SX is getting a deep clean after sitting in a barn in Ohio for more than 26 years.

The car has been sitting in the barn since the late 1990s and hasn’t been touched since.

It was found covered in dust and cobwebs, so much so that it was hard to tell what color the body was.

However, this made for an incredibly satisfying clean.

Dust-filled Nissan 240SX gets a deep clean after 26 years

When the owner of the Nissan 240SX realized the condition it was in, they contacted RJ Wagner from WD Detailing to ask for help.

According to the owner, his father-in-law had bought it in 1991 and drove it as a summer car.

But after this, it was forgotten and left to collect dust next to some old farm equipment.

The first step was to pressure wash the exterior of the 240SX.

Once the car was washed, it revealed a dark grey body and an exterior that was surprisingly in relatively good condition.

However, the real mess came to light when they looked inside the car.

The engine bay, hatch, mats, and carpets were covered with leaves and mouse droppings.

“We obviously already have a ton of mouse droppings and a ton of mice nest and oh and the culprit himself,” said Wagner as he found a dead mouse in the trunk of the car.

Better than a brand new 240SX

Fortunately, the guys were able to vacuum and clean the interior and get it looking almost new again.

This Nissan 240SX itself was quite rare as it was famous for drifting.

But it is hard to see one fully stock, as they are usually heavily modified for drifting.

The owner was also super happy with the final result.

“It’s amazing. You guys are unbelievable. It’s better than when I bought it,” the owner said.

All it needs now is a proper rebuild, so that it can run as smooth as it looks.

While it’s a big job, the folks over at WD Detailing are pretty good at what they do.

They have previously worked on a rare 1955 Mercedes Benz 190 SL that was caked in dust, dirt, and grime after being abandoned in a basement for 60 years.

And they made it look brand new again.
