This explorer was checking out a lot full of abandoned cars and found something rather remarkable – a NASA space vehicle.
The piece stuck out like a sore thumb – and had clear indications that it worked for NASA from badges and labels.
He also found abandoned planes among the wreckage site when he had a nose around.
But just what job did the vehicle have back in its heyday? Strap in as we uncover its potential uses.

NASA… the OGs of space searching

Let’s be honest, NASA has already explored and found out lots about our planet and the Milky Way, the galaxy we call home.
For instance, NASA recently took a photo of the sound barrier being broken by the Boom Supersonic XB-1, cool right?
Plus, a NASA astronaut recently revealed how he felt when he saw the Earth for the first time from space – and it’s not quite what you’d expect.
But thinking about it, when you hear the name NASA your mind wanders to the thought of America – the Kennedy Space Centre, the man on the moon.
But in the UK, an abandoned NASA vehicle has been found far, far from its US base by one savvy searcher.
The explorer in question – Razor Twisted Exploring – was searching a site for cars.
While there, he found planes, and a very cool car that looked as though it was made by Hot Wheels.
But one find in particular captured his attention.
An abandoned NASA vehicle.. unusual right?

How often do you find an abandoned NASA rover?
Almost never, so of course our explorer had to have a sneaky peek inside.
Once he got close to the rusted vehicle, he immediately noticed it had a badge that read ‘United States Space Command,’ so he knew it was the real deal.
One small step for man, one incredible inspection for our explorer

As he further inspected the vehicle, he found that it was just a frame that remained – but the fun didn’t stop there.
Attached to the frame was another classic NASA badge, alongside a satellite dish that was actually still intact.
Two black seats took centre stage too – proving that the vehicle really could have gone anywhere, anytime, to any place.
The opportunities that this vehicle could have had could really ignite your imagination to the max.
In fact, at one point it could have even been part of the Space Exploration fleet.
Maybe even one day we perhaps might need it again as we continue to explore the galaxy.
Only time will tell.
