This $1.3 million McLaren Senna is getting a second chance at life after it was left in a sad state after a crash last year.

The six-figure hypercar was wrecked by a young driver in Southern California’s San Fernando Valley in April 2024.

What makes this story worse is the Senna, which was wrecked just days after he bought the car, was a one-of-one Kiwi Edition model.

It was left in a shocking state, but thankfully, that wasn’t the end of the road for this super rare McLaren Senna.

Restoring the one-of-one McLaren Senna

YouTubers Simeon and Eleazar, who run the channel Goonzquad, just committed to rebuilding the McLaren Senna in their garage in Chattanooga, Georgia.

Brothers Simeon and Eleazar bought the totaled Senna in an online auction last year for $351,000 – pretty good for a supercar that was once $1.3 million.

Now the pair are documenting the process of repairing it.

With the entire hood ripped off the front of the car, the brothers admitted it was ‘definitely the craziest financial decision we’ve ever made’.

But that didn’t deter them.

Just like this Ferrari that was restored back to its former glory and this restored Rolls-Royce that once belonged to Marcus Rashford, they knew the hard work would be worth it.

After the boys bought the car from an online auction, they got it delivered and got a good look at it for the first time.

While they knew it was in bad shape, they were shocked by just how damaged it was.

“Look, a battery just laying there on the ground,” they said.

“This car I believe is 100% carbon fiber other than just the front frame rails and suspension, and that’s exactly why this project is so scary.

“Not only is that super expensive, but also super difficult to work with, and we don’t have any of them robots that McLaren has, so this right here is going to be one heck of a project.”

After assessing the totaled Senna from top to bottom, the guys did an inventory of what was broken (pretty much everything) and what was salvageable.

“You know what, I think we’re gonna get this thing completely back to original,” they said.

We’re not sure if it’s possible to get it back to its original condition, but if anyone can get it back on the road, it’s these guys.
