These YouTubers accidentally bought a rare Corvette ZR1 whilst browsing Google Images for paint colors.

We’ve all had those moments where we’ve accidentally clicked a button and gotten something we didn’t want.

For most people, that would mean clicking on an annoying pop-up ad.

But for these guys, it landed them with a Corvette ZR1.

How these friends ended up buying a Corvette ZR1

The team behind YouTube channel ‘goonzquad’ was who ended up with this car in their possession.

The story of how they managed to do so is pretty remarkable.

One of the hosts, Simon, explained: “We were looking for paint colors for our C6 Corvette ZR1.

“We were doing a bunch of Google searches when we saw this sucker right here.

“We said ‘Dang, that is the coolest looking color on a Corvette ever’.”

However, when they clicked on the link hoping to get the paint code, they were taken to a sale listing.

And the rest is history.

Hey, nobody said accidents had to lead to negative outcomes – just take this American who accidentally became the richest man in the world, for example.

In a stunning orange coating, this car is an impressive sight, and its beauty doesn’t end at the car door.

With only 9,000 miles on the clock and in excellent condition all around, it’s no wonder they’re building their own car in its likeness.

Meanwhile, this DIY Lamborghini Aventador replica looks almost identical to a real one.

How far along is their project car?

In the video, the Goonz Squad is shown working on the wiring and cooling system of their car.

After bleeding the brakes and finishing off the paintwork, they take it for a spin for the first time.

By the video’s end, Simon hinted that the custom car would be completed soon – and they’d be taking both cars out on a track for a little race.

There’s nothing like a project coming together nicely – this dad who created a wooden BMW Lovos Custom King Cobra for his kids knows that better than anybody.
