Everybody knows that traveling in private jets is an incredible experience of luxury and comfort, but do you ever wonder how the wealthy owners of private jet sleep in them?
Let us tell you, those rooms are nothing short of a five-star hotel — but in the air.
Most expensive private jets, apart from the smaller ones, have bedrooms that you can sleep in.

You can sleep on most private jets
If you have a bucket list of sleeping at the most unusual places by any chance, you wouldn’t want to miss out on waking up in a king-size bed while flying across the country.
Now, that certainly seems like a brilliant idea, doesn’t it?
Large business jets like the Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) or Airbus Corporate Jets have several ‘suites’ brimming with luxury.
However, only a select few millionaires or billionaires can afford them.
Very Light Jets (VLJs) are the most common type of private jets — mostly because they’re relatively cheaper and can carry around 12 passengers.
For instance, the Cessna Citation M2 Gen2 and the Cirrus Vision SF50 are some of the lowest-cost private jets you can buy today.
That’s enough for most people owning a private aircraft just for ‘convenience.’
Since those are small, you obviously get no bedrooms, or any other rooms for that matter apart from the main passenger cabin.
Owners and passengers of these categories of jets usually have to carry sleepwear and sleep on their seats.
But take a step further, and you start seeing signs of luxury and much more added convenience.
Large jets take the comfort a step further
When it comes to private jets, the amount of comfort and convenience exponentially increases with the aircraft’s cost.
Moving on from VLJs and light jets, you get relatively larger jets like the Gulfstream G560ER or its newer variant, the Gulfstream G700, and Embraer Lineage 1000EX.
All of these aircrafts are ultra-long-range vessels that can accommodate up to 18 passengers.
If you doubt their offerings, multiple billionaires like Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos own the Gulfstream G650ER.
You can opt for several cabin configurations depending on your needs.
They have advanced and comfy seats that you can convert into a plush single bed, or can electronically convert the large couch into a double bed.
Of course, these are leather seats with plenty of cushioning.
But what is a comfortable bed experience without entertainment?
The in-flight entertainment system on such types of private jets includes a flat-screen TV with great speakers and headphone options.
There’s also a galley area with a full-fledged kitchen, including an espresso machine.
While this may seem convenient, it’s certainly not enough for the uber wealthy.
Business, corporate, and executive jets: the final boss
Boeing and Airbus have too many business jets that it makes it hard to fit all of them in one category.
For starters, there’s the Boeing BBJ 737 MAX — a popular option among luxury private jets.
From the latest BBJ 737 Max 7 Series, buyers can choose from a whopping 144 different cabin configurations.
Moreover, its bedroom is directly comparable to one in a five-star.
Similarly, the Airbus ACJ330neo, which is a part of the Airbus Corporate Jet lineup, is of the similar size and offers peculiar luxuries.
It’s based on the Airbus A330, and was designed for VIP customers who want nothing but the best.
You can choose from a huge catalog of cabin options and decide where you want the rooms and facilities.
Further, there’s the 737 MAX’s older brother, the BBJ 787-9.
It has a completely different vibe with fancy marble finishing and bright lights on the inside.
Although these are some of the most expensive private jets while costing nearly $100 million, there is even bigger fish in the sea.
The world’s largest private jet with unmatched interior
The Boeing 747-8i remains the world’s largest private jet, and it has a stunning interior, to say the least.
It certainly is old — but that doesn’t stop it from being awesome.
The 747-8i is a flying palace, and you will almost certainly forget that you’re in a private aircraft.
The two levels on the plane are divided into different regions, which include ornate suites, lounges, dining rooms, and seating areas.
Not to forget, the flight can be equipped with beds, depending on the airline.
While some airlines often include lie-flat seats that can be converted into beds, some airlines might have dedicated sleeping areas or suites with full beds.
Owning a Boeing 747-8i would burn hundreds of millions out of your bank accounts, but it’s a different game for the ultra-rich.
It’s interesting to see how far private jets have come, and how the experience changes as you spend more money.
