This man bought a BMW G20 and got more than what he paid for.
To be fair, he paid for quite a lot, too.
His new daily driver set him back about $67,762, expertly crafted from the B58 inline-six under the hood to the seat massagers.
But there was one hidden element he had no idea about when he bought it.

Buying the BMW G20

Hann – from the YouTube channel When Hann Meets Cars – recently splurged on a BMW 3 Series.
It’s not a cheap car, and he had been debating between it and a Tesla Model 3 but didn’t feel ready to give up gas for EV just yet.
Many have compared the two cars, due to their similar price point.
One woman compared the running costs of the Tesla Model 3 to a used BMW 3 Series, and the EV ultimately came out on top.
And a man shared what he spent on charging his Tesla Model 3 after 75,000 miles compared to what he would have spent on fuel for the BMW.
But Hann was delighted with his purchase, from the curved dashboard display, the spacious interior, and its steering capabilities.
These are all aspects he knew he was getting when he bought the car, but one small section of it took him by surprise.
Where is the BMW’s hidden compartment?

One might expect a hidden compartment to be found in the car’s interior, or perhaps the trunk.
Like the Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit 3, which has hiding spots in the armrest as well as the trunk.
Or the unsuspecting compartment on the McLaren Senna hypercar that Supercar Blondie herself got to discover.
But the BMW G20 3 Series keeps owners on their toes, with a secret nook placed under the hood.

The top right corner has a lid with a lock on it, and – once opened – there is a recess about the size of a glove box.
Hann jokingly keeps a model of his previous car in here, but the possibilities for secret storage are endless.
“As a long-term BMW owner, that’s the oil storage compartment. Keep at least 2 spare liters at all times,” one commenter said.
“It is to cook food with engine heat,” another commenter joked.
