This YouTuber bought the first crash damaged Lamborghini Revuelto, hoping to fix it.

But there were some big problems to address.

‘Revuelto’ is Italian for ‘scrambled’ and that would be a fitting description for this nightmare.

Could Mat Armstrong fix this $297k supercar or was it too far gone?

The Lamborghini Revuelto that had been left a wreck

Capable of producing 1,000HP, this is one speedy supercar.

But to kind of quote Spiderman’s uncle, ‘With great power comes great responsibility’.

We’ve seen supercars that have been pretty mangled, like this Lamborghini Huracán or this McLaren Senna.

It’s never nice to see a stunning car left looking it’d been chewed up by Gozilla.

But the question remains – can this Lambo be brought back to its former glory?

“I don’t even know where to start with this thing,” Mat admitted

On the plus side, though, the interior doesn’t look too bad.

Admittedly, the airbags were still deployed inside, but it could be worse.

Fortunately, the passenger side airbag didn’t go off, so the windscreen had been spared damage.

The carbon fiber panels, though, had been totaled, and one of the wheels was missing entirely.

Can this crash damaged Lambo be fixed?

The first issue Mat took a look at was the car’s battery.

Mat wasn’t wholly optimistic about the prospects of the car starting again.

“Usually when a airbag’s deployed after an accident, the pyro fuser will stop you from starting a car,” he said

The YouTuber’s hesitation was right, as the Lambo didn’t start.

He then put the battery on charge, hoping it would fix the starter issue.

As the process went on, more and more parts were taken off the car.

In fact, he took off the front bumper and was left stunned by the damage that had been hiding underneath.

And it’d cost over $12k to get the new parts from Lamborghini.

Ouch.

The true cost of a damaged Lambo

“Each broken part we take off is going to add more money to the repair bill and I have no idea what that’s going to be.

“It took two days to take the subframe off, it’ll take about eight to put a new one back on,” Mat said.

And if you thought the $12k quoted before was shocking, brace yourself for this.

A replacement subframe would set Mat back more than $69,000.

Yikes.

That sound you can hear is all of our bank accounts collectively screaming.

So, with all the pricey replacements, is there any hope for this Revuelto?

After ordering $116k worth of Lamborghini parts, Mat was at least in a better position to get this thing back on its wheels.

But there was a long way to go – and more parts to acquire.

“I’ve compiled a list of additional things we need and it’s come to an additional $25,000,” he said.

We can’t wait to see what he can accomplish… once the parts arrive.
