A man created the world’s first Dodge Demon Truck using a vehicle he bought from Facebook Marketplace.
The one-off DIY job began life as a Dodge Ram SRT-10 – an SRT-10 that had spent the last three years parked, no less.
But that wasn’t enough to deter YouTuber ScrapLifeLee, who was very aware of its numerous issues.
That’s because Lee had big plans for this truck – big, weird plans that involved a Dodge Demon engine.

The Facebook Marketplace Dodge Ram had seen better days
We’ve seen plenty of weird and wonderful builds and modifications carried out by car enthusiasts who love to ask ‘why not?’
Such as the man who put a motorcycle engine in a child’s toy car and created a Porsche 911 GT3 ‘Power Wheel’, or the guy who built this Tesler Siber Truck as an alternative to the Cybertruck, there was even a dad who built this paintball mini tank for his son.
Meanwhile, ScrapLifeLee found himself asking ‘why not?’ when he acquired both a Dodge SRT10, with an 8.3 liter Dodge Viper V10 engine, and a Dodge Demon V8 engine.
Because why not fit a Demon V8 into a Dodge Ram?
Lee bought the truck from Facebook Marketplace and was quick to give a rundown of its various faults and issues, which included faulty transmission, bad tires, and damage to the bodywork.
Not ideal.
Fitting the new engine took a fair bit of work
The Dodge Ram did still run, however, meaning that Lee was happy to forge ahead with his plans to replace that V10 with the V8.
Of course, it’s not quite as simple as pulling out one engine and popping in the other.
To get the V8 working in the Ram, Lee has to get all the ancillary parts and components, such as a new transmission, new engine mounts, a new ECU, a new exhaust, and more.
One noticeable difference between how the two engines look, is how much more room there is inside the engine bay – so much so that Lee is able to place the Demon engine further back leaving room for turbochargers.
Yep – not quite content with the stock Demon engine, Lee has plans to add some turbochargers to the old Ram.
Well, why not?
