This year, we have seen quite a few iconic drag races on the track and the streets.

So we have put together some of our favorite drag races from 2024, in case you missed them.

This time around we also saw quite a few EVs beating out many iconic supercars in these races.

So don’t be surprised if you see a Tesla car leaving a Lamborghini in the dust.

Our favorite drag races of this year

Tesla Cybertruck vs Lamborghini Aventador

Just recently, we saw a Tesla Cybertruck race a Lamborghini Aventador in the streets of Virginia.

Both cars can be seen pulling up to an intersection and getting ready for the drag race.

However, it lasted all less than five seconds as the Aventador got taught a lesson by the Cybertruck.

Even Elon Musk reacted to the video, which had gained millions of views online.

New Ford F-150 XL drag races AMG E63s, Mustang GT, and GTO

In another surprising drag race, we saw a new Ford F-150 XL going against an AMG E63s, Mustang GT, and a Pontiac GTO.

Forget sports cars and cutting-edge EVs, this modern heavyweight pickup car leaves everything in the dust.

Although the Mercedes-AMG E63s proved to be a worthy adversary, the truck was able to edge out a win with an 11.06-second pass.

Chevy Corvette E-Ray vs Ford Mustang Dark Horse

This year, we also saw two of the fastest American muscle cars go against each other.

Although the Dark Horse features a Gen-4 5.0L 500-hp Coyote V8, the E-Ray is a more powerful vehicle with 655hp even with a hybrid system.

As both cars roared down the track, the scoreboard revealed the ultimate winner — 11.44 seconds for the E-Ray versus 13.99 seconds for the Dark Horse.

BMW M8 Competition vs Tesla Model 3 Performance

In one of the most surprising drag races of this year, we saw a BMW M8 and Tesla Model 3 face off not one but three times.

One car proves to be the clear winner in the end.

Both cars were quite evenly matched, but it was the Tesla Model 3 that came out on top.

As you can tell from the previous drag races, Tesla cars have performed quite well.

However, how will it fare against one of the fastest sports cars in the world?

The results might surprise you as the Model S quickly passed the Revuelto and finished the 1/2-mile race at 184mph, with the Italian supercar finishing at 174mph.
