MotoGP bike and F1 car go head-to-head in epic drag race

This is the drag race to settle all drag races.
A race between a MotoGP bike and an F1 car to see which is faster in a straight line.
It’s a tough one to call because both machines are incredibly quick off the mark.

If they were to settle the score by doing hot laps on a racing circuit, the F1 car is always going to be faster than the MotoGP bike.
Not to get too technical, but it all comes down to tire contact.
The F1 car has four wide tires with large surface areas providing more grip and traction than two thin little strips.
But, racing in a straight line is a whole different ball game – and the MotoGP bike has weight on its side.
Thankfully, Red Bull has answered the age-old question of which is faster: a MotoGP bike or an F1 car?
They posted a video of the drag race to their YouTube channel and, to spice things up a bit, they’ve thrown a rally car into the mix, too.
The headline vehicles are a Red Bull RB8 F1 car and a KTM RC16 MotoGP bike, the former being from 2012, the penultimate year of the V8 era.
The F1 car’s screaming 2.4-liter produces a 850bhp eclipsing the 270bhp offered by the KTM’s 1,000cc V4.
The pair were pitted against a 600bhp Peugeot 208 WRX and a Ford Puma WRC packing 550bhp, just to keep things interesting.
It’s a ‘Best of Three’ and, in the last race, a 2,000bhp Ford Transit Supervan 4 joins the fun.
It may be the most powerful of the lot, but it’s also the heaviest, making it an even tougher one to call.
