Brand-new 2025 Tesla Model 3 has salvage title despite looking perfect on one side

A brand new Tesla Model 3 has cropped up on an online marketplace, and while it might look good on one side, its salvage title tells a different story.

This electric car has suffered severe battering on one side, while the other side hides the fact that any collision damage has occurred.

With less than 800 miles on the clock, the car is basically new and should have a very healthy powertrain.

Its current state, though, means any new owner will have to do a lot of work to get it back on the road.

The Tesla’s collision did a lot of damage

Looking inside the EV, we can see the airbags have deployed.

That’s a good indicator as to what happened to the car.

The right-hand side reveals extensive damage, the doors are badly smashed, in and the B-pillar also took a hit.

Damage to the B-pillars means the overall structure of the Model 3 has been compromised as well, hence the salvage title.

The left side, however, looks to have suffered no damage.

The doors are in one piece, and the windows also remain intact.

At the front, the Model 3’s ‘frunk‘ lid appears to have distorted slightly.

Although that could just be poor Tesla build quality!

What will happen to the Model 3?

For this Tesla Model 3, there are a couple of possible outcomes.

It could easily be taken to the crusher, and broken down for any spare parts before it’s destroyed.

But, cars have emerged from scrapyards in worse condition and got back on the road, albeit with a lot of work.

If a buyer can work out what structural damage exists, they could fix up this Model 3.

Other than the deployed airbags, the cabin looks to be intact, too, which could reduce the workload required.

If someone can repair the car, there is the possibility of them picking up quite a bargain, depending on how much those repairs cost.

The listing also doesn’t state whether there was any powertrain damage, so its new owner may be in luck.
