A new ‘toaster’ has been revealed by developers, but instead of making breakfast, it’s making history by fully charging your iPhone in two seconds.
This has the potential to be a groundbreaking piece of technology for the chronically late amongst us.
The Swippitt Hub currently is only compatible with certain iPhones, but the developers have plans to expand to Android later in 2025.
It retails for an eyewatering price, but surely efficiency like this is priceless?
Finally! A toaster for my iPhone!
The Swippitt Hub is the toaster we never realized we needed.
Instead of making some delicious toast, the Hub is intended to save lots of time.
At the recent CES show, the Swippitt Hub was revealed and demonstrated charging an iPhone to 100 percent in just two seconds.
We’ve covered some cool gadgets here but this could possibly be the most useful one yet.
The magic toaster has since gone viral on Instagram.
How does it work?
The gadget is essentially a battery hub that keeps five very powerful and fast acting batteries fully charged and ready to go.
When someone puts their phone in the ‘toaster’ slot, it drains one of the hub’s five batteries very quickly.
When you remove your phone from the hub, the hub automatically switches out the drained battery for a fully charged one, meaning that the next charge can occur only four seconds after the previous one.
Unfortunately, the price of the Swippitt Hub currently stands at a $450, with each replacement battery costing $150, but can you really put a price on this kind of efficiency?
At the moment only iPhone users can enjoy the toaster charger, but plans are in place for android users to be given access to the Swippitt Hub later in 2025.
This is one gadget we don’t suggest you try to recreate at home.
