Plymouth Superbird is not just a car, it’s an emotion for those who remember the golden days of American muscle cars.

And for Janice, this car became a lifelong companion after she made a spontaneous decision back in 1970.

It all started when she read an article in the newspaper that mentioned the Plymouth Superbird is a true star, hitting 200mph – she knew she wanted it.

What a speed maniac she is!

A Newspaper Ad Inspired the Plymouth Superbird Purchase

That long nose, stunning Limelight Green color, the incredible top speed of 200 mph, the iconic Looney Tunes sticker, and the famous ‘meep meep’ horn, had certainly stolen Janice’s heart.

The Plymouth Superbird in the picture is a 1970 model, and Janice bought it in the same year, hinting that she got the car when it was just new.

The incredible story of Janice and her Plymouth Superbird is covered on YouTube by Lou Costabile.

The car was purchased from H.L. Harris in Pittsburg, California, a well-known dealer of Mopar muscle cars.

Since then, her love for the special Plymouth Superbird has never faded, and she has driven her car for more than 15 years.

As of 2020, the car had marked an impressive milestone of 80,000 miles, as she had been driving her beloved car almost every day.

The car still shines like new

Despite the extensive use, the beauty of this American muscle car has not faded a bit, all thanks to her genuine care for the car.

Janice has lovingly restored it three times to keep it in perfect shape.

Swayed by the impressive milestone of 200 mph, how could she resist testing out its raw power herself?

Thus, she pushed her Superbird to 150 miles per hour on two occasions.

So many years have passed, but Janice still remains equally passionate about the car as she was when it was first brought.

It’s safe to say, it’s a part of her family now.
