This is the new Nissan Hyper Tourer – a luxury minivan designed like a private jet for the road.
The exterior is wild but even more impressive is the interior, and it can do is something we’ve never seen before.

Designed to be used as an autonomous vehicle, the Nissan Hyper Tourer also has a ‘normal’ steering wheel if you want to drive it.
Mind you, the best way to experience this vehicle is as a passenger.
Behind the driver’s cockpit is a living space that almost looks like a hotel lounge.
You’ve got four seats, two forward-facing and two rear-facing, allowing passengers to talk to each other as if they’re sitting at a restaurant table.
All four seats rotate independently, by the way.
Furthermore, the Hyper Tourer has in-built VR headsets for each seat.
You can use those to interact with the infotainment system, for example to watch a movie on the move.
Most of these modern-day concepts are VR-compatible, but Nissan went one step further by actually including the VR headsets.
Style-wise, the Nissan Hyper Tourer looks super futuristic, with sharp edges and angles.
The floor is entirely covered in LED lights, and the same interesting design solution was used for the front fascia.
Aside from the weird design, a couple of things stand out.
First, the gigantic rear wing at the back.
We’re not used to seeing that sort of a thing on a van.
And then there’s the amazing design for the wheels.
Powered by electricity and equipped with four-wheel drive, the Nissan Hyper Tourer will be unveiled to the public at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show.
The bad news – or good news depending on your point of view – this is just a concept car.
As ever, this means some of the most exotic and quirky design features might be dropped for the production version.
