The world of private aircraft has seen several technological marvels in the past decade, but one fairly new private jet — the Bombardier Global 7500 — has set over 50 speed records in less than a year.
To be precise, it amassed all those records in a mere 50 weeks.
It shows simply how advanced and capable this jet is, and it’s nothing but good news for its customers.

Bombardier Global 7500 gets 50 speed records to its name
The Global 7500 is Bombardier’s flagship private jet and for a reason.
Well, if you don’t consider the upcoming Global 8000 for now.
Over the past year, the Global 7500 was on a roll — setting new records every now and then.
Further, the aviation company recently announced that it crossed the 50-record mark in 50 weeks.
For context, speed records like these typically mean the time and speed recorded on fixed-route journeys.
The most prominent routes on the long list include flights from Miami to São Paulo, Tokyo to Los Angeles, Jeddah to London, and London to Bahrain.
It also recorded an average top speed of 1,000 km/h on its ten fastest records set recently.
Although the private jet has a top speed of Mach 0.925, the results remain impressive regardless.
The current private jet scenario
The Bombardier Global 7500 is one of the most capable private jets, to say the least.
You see, it’s not just fast — but can also pull off long-distance hauls without breaking a sweat.
The Global 7500 boasts a range of 7,700 nautical miles, which is what sets it apart from other business jets.
Fortunately, having these many records to its name will only push the industry forward.
What does this mean in the world of business jets, you ask?
The private jet’s current competitors — the new Gulfstream G700 and G800 and the Dassault Falcon 8X fit in the same category.
While some might have a few advantages over others, it will only push manufacturers to produce something worthwhile.
Hence, the entire private jet scenario will likely keep bearing fruit for the foreseeable future.
