A rare Rolls-Royce was one of several high-end vehicles recovered by Miami Beach Police.

The car was recovered in a crackdown on what police described as a ‘luxury auto theft ring’.

The Rolls-Royce Dawn was taken back in January, as it was being shipped from South Beach to Detroit, Michigan.

Understandably, the car’s owner was relieved to have it back.

The car was intercepted by criminals as it was heading to owner Nader Eldamouni, several thousand miles north.

Eldamouni was obviously grateful to the Miami Beach Police for getting his car back, telling 7News: ‘Thank you so much for you helping me to find my car’.

The theft itself was described as a ‘complex criminal trend’.

“[This is a crime] in which the defendants exploited vehicle dispatchers and transporters by manipulating the order destinations of high-end vehicles,” a spokesperson for Miami Beach Police said.

“According to detectives, the suspects engaged in rerouting truck drivers at the point of vehicle pickup, diverting shipments to fraudulent locations.”

Eldamouni’s $350,000 Dawn fell victim to the operation.

The Dawn, which has an orange top and seats, wasn’t initially recovered when the crooks were first arrested.

But it was found on February 13th, much to the relief of its owner.

Eldamouni was overjoyed to have his car found, and will be flying down to the Sunshine State to meet it.

Cops suggested there were more cars yet to be recovered.

So far, they have gotten their hands on nabbed luxury vehicles with a total value of $5.3 million.

The men involved stand accused of dealing stolen property, grand theft and organized fraud.

No car owner would like to imagine a scenario in which their car is snatched away from them.

For a lot of people who experience it, they never see their car again.

But for a lucky few, like this Rolls-Royce owner, they are reunited.

Over in California, this man was reunited with his Chevrolet Bel Air on the same day it was taken from his garage.

But sometimes, the happy resolution comes a lot later.

Take the case of this man whose son found his Pontiac Firebird that had been stolen 50 years prior.

However long it takes, getting back a stolen car is a conclusion every car owner dreams of.
