This man took a classic Ford Anglia and turned it into a track day race weapon.
And all it took was two years and genius-level welding skills.
What was once a family car in the 1950s is now a turbocharged race car.
Best of all, this mod was pulled off without sacrificing any of its classic charm.

Uncovering a classic Ford
While most prefer their cars rust-free, some seek rust buckets out.
One man installed a 500HP motor home engine under the completely rusted exterior of his 1968 Dodge Challenger.
Then there are those who get a kick out of restoring rusty engines, like these guys who got a ’50s Chevy up and running.
Matt Urch is a YouTuber who loves a challenge, and recently found one in an abandoned 1959 Ford Anglia 100e.
He brought the classic back from the scrapyard to his workshop, where he painstakingly dismantled it, uncovering the rusted frame hidden underneath.
While not as iconic as its successor, the Ford Anglia 105E, this model was a classic of the era with its upright grille, round headlamps, and pastel colors typical of the 1950s.
In its heyday, the Anglia produced about 36 horsepower and could reach top speeds of 71 mph.
Transforming the rust bucket
Urch didn’t just want to restore the Ford; he wanted to give it a modern twist.
He rebuilt the majority of the panels, expertly cutting and welding them to replicate the car’s iconic silhouette.
Preparing the car for a life on the track, Urch installed a roll cage inside and kept a barebone interior.
Lastly, he installed a turbocharged engine, fitted Toyo tires, and gave the car a coat of pastel pea green.
The car now produces about 200HP, quite an improvement from its previous life, and regularly tears up the track.
And the name of this formidable racer?
The Mushy Pea.
