In a time where Home Alone’s wet bandits are plastered on the screens, it looks like one thief has been taking tips from the downtrodden duo, becoming the dumbest of all time after allegedly stealing a $1 million Ivory Ferrari SF90.

The man from Portland was found hours after allegedly stealing the Ivory Ferrari SF90 worth $1 million.

The million-dollar Ferrari was reported stolen on December 19, with the owner fearing the worst for his supercar.

But it didn’t take a mastermind like Kevin Macallister to take down this swindler, as the police caught the alleged Ferrari felon in a matter of hours.

Stolen Ferrari SF90 found just a quarter-mile away from robbery

Given the price and rarity of supercars, unfortunately, road-legal Ferraris and Lamborghini’s often attract the attention of criminally charged onlookers.

This time, an ivory-hued Ferrari SF90 was the target.

But just hours after the car was reported stolen, the owner was back behind the wheel of his prized possession.

That’s because the alleged thieves only moved the car a mere quarter mile.

As confirmed by the Portland Police Bureau, the force teamed with the owner to track the vehicle two blocks over from where it was stolen.

So how exactly did they find it? Well, that was pretty simple too.

The owner had a tracker for his SF90 in case of this very incident.

The car was found two minutes away, having moved just 0.3 miles away from where it was taken.

This makes quite a stark change from other supercar thieveries, including a recent case where a Lamborghini owner tracked his stolen Huracán Spyder to Thailand before finding out it was a 35-car-large haul that would take five years to settle.

Alleged Ferrari thieves found in dumbest way imaginable

What makes this incident one of the dumbest we’ve ever seen is that the alleged thief was found on the same street.

The police report claims the man they arrested was actually walking back towards the scene of the crime.

The alleged thief is now facing several charges which could stack up to a maximum of five years in prison and a $125,000 fine if found guilty.

Luckily, the car was returned to the owner undamaged.

The market value for a Ferrari SF90 Spider is roughly $900,000.

It’s Ferrari’s first plug-in hybrid car while also taking the accolade of the ‘most powerful non-limited convertible car in the world,’ boasting 986 hp.

Maybe the person responsible just wanted to test its power and speed on a quarter-mile road.

Probably not worth the fine and potential jail time though.
