Tesla unveils plans to take the Cybertruck all across Europe

Tesla has announced a Cybertruck tour around the world, taking the EV truck across 24 different countries in Europe.

Dubbed the ‘Cyber Odyssey’, the tour will last all summer from May to July.

Although the truck is not available in the European continent yet, the company still plans to promote it like it did in China, Japan, and Thailand.

This tour would be the first time the EV truck has been shown to the masses in Europe.

If you don’t count the time when they showcased it outside the Tesla Gigafactory in Germany, that is.

In addition to Europe, Tesla also plans to display the Cybertruck in UAE, Australia, and New Zealand.

It is not clear if Tesla plans to ever bring the EV truck to these markets, as regulations vary quite substantially from country to country.

One of the reasons the Cybertruck is so striking is its stainless steel body, but it is also partially due to that fact that it isn’t available in Europe.

European regulations call for a 3.2mm external radius on external projections.

“Unfortunately, it is impossible to make a rounding of 3.2 millimeters on a 1.4-millimeter sheet of stainless steel,” says Lars Moravy, Tesla’s Vice President of Vehicle Engineering.

However, that’s not the only reason why the Cybertruck is not available in Europe.

But it seems that Tesla is not giving up on the European market just yet.
