The Tesla Cybertruck is sending Twitter into a frenzy after it was spotted towing a SpaceX rocket engine.
The incredible footage shows the truck hauling the massive raptor vac around the starbase in Texas.
And for obvious reasons, it’s going viral.

X (formerly Twitter) users are drooling over the new footage.
“Bulletproof, rustproof, can tow a rocket engine and has a million mile battery (probably)… the Cybertruck will probably be the last vehicle I buy,” one said.
Another joked the rocket engine could be the lastest optional package for the truck, called “the SpaceX performance package”.
“The Cybertruck with new RATO (rocket-assisted take-off) option,” another said.
Heaps of people thought it was an advertising stunt too, suggesting the delivery date was just around the corner.
You can watch the footage here:
But not everyone was impressed.
“What does this thing weigh?” Greggertruck asked.
When he was told the raptor vac weighed around 1600kg (3500 pounds), it brought the truck’s abilities back down to reality.
This is because Cybertrucks are expected to have a towing capacity of up to 14,000 pounds.
Even the single and dual motor Teslas have a maximum tow rating of 7500 and 10,000 pounds respectively.
So, while the rocket engine might look wild, the 3500 pound load should, in theory, be easy for the truck to pull.
“My Mustang could do that, with a rope (no trailer hitch),” one guy said.
Sean Doherty also captured some incredible footage:
Meanwhile, someone snapped this photo of the truck with what looks like a SpaceX Starlink mounted to the top.
“That’s an insanely portable hot-spot,” one guy said.
“Think about it… you could drive anywhere in the world that has a clear view of the sky and set up a ridiculously fast wifi network.”
With no delivery date to speak of, or updated specs from Tesla, would-be Cybertruck owners are having to turn to X and online blogs to get their updates.
Just yesterday, a new video dropped on YouTube giving us our most detailed view of the Cybertruck’s interior yet.
Taken by a guy called Vlad Vein, the video shows him exploring the brand-spanking new interior and fiddling with all the controls he sees.
It’s the first time we get to see the truck’s dash and working interface while the car is actually on and operational.
The video shows the center display screen with backup cameras activated, the steering wheel, the center console, the backseat, and the gargantuan sunroof.
Reactions to the interior were largely positive, but some were just shocked the videographer was able to sneak in and get the recording they did.
“Someone is getting fired tomorrow,” one X user said.
