An unassuming crane in Amsterdam has a five-star luxury hotel perched on the top – and it’s seriously impressive inside.

Walking by, you might not give a second thought to the industrial-looking object rising 164ft into Amsterdam’s skyline.

But if you did stop for a visit, it’s safe to say you’d be pretty blown away – because it is now home to Faralda Crane Hotel, which offers three luxurious designer suites.

Faralda Crane Hotel offers three suites

Of course, there are plenty of quirky hotels out there – such as the V8 hotel in Böblingen, Germany, where guests can spend the night in a specially designed car bed – however, few offer quite the level of luxury that the Faralda does.

The three suits – known as Mystique, Secret Suite and the Free Spirit – are each split across two levels and offer ample space.

Whichever suite you stay in, you’ll be treated to breathtaking, unobstructed views of Amsterdam thanks to the huge windows.

All rooms are tastefully decorated and offer all the amenities you’d expect from high-end accommodation.

A staircase leads up to the bedroom, which features large glass panels to make the most of the stunning views, a king-size bed and bathtub.

Meanwhile, the suites’ separate bathrooms are fitted with a rain-shower and decorated with antique parts that once belonged to an ocean cruiser.

There’s even a hot tub at the very top

At the very top, there’s even a hot tub – so you can relax in the warm, bubbly water while soaking in the amazing views.

See? We told you it was fancy.

“Hidden behind an iron door, is Amsterdam’s best kept secret: Faralda Crane Hotel,” its owners say

“Inside it’s a different world. The so-called Boutique Hotel is the hot spot for an unforgettable stay.

“The 5-star -luxury suites on top of the crane have breathtaking views.

The luxury accommodation doesn’t come cheap – and a room can set you back around $950 (£733) and that doesn’t include breakfast, which can be provided for an additional cost.

It’s a lot of money for a one-night stay but how many people can say they spent their night in a hot tub on top of a crane?
