A young man from Kentucky has bought the ‘worst abandoned supercar’ in America, but what he did with the moldy water-filled footwells and snakeskin-filled boot was quite a miracle.

Finding abandoned supercars can often be a gold mine, with restoration projects turning scrap metal back into the roaring beasts that cruise American highways.

However, this $100k BMW M6 was so battered and bruised that it appeared to be nothing but a pile of garbage waiting to be crushed.

Still, a young man has now transformed the rainwater holder into wine – kind of.

$100k abandoned supercar gets a miraculous restoration

BradenBuildz, a car enthusiast from Kentucky, recently uploaded an incredible 40-minute makeover of this M6 which he found abandoned in an open-air quarry.

The car, which previously belonged to someone he knew, was left out in the cold and rain for years, gathering more mold than you can imagine, and even playing host to a range of little beasties like mice and snakes.

The damage to the car was much more extensive than just the aesthetic body too, with major faults with its mechanics.

Metal shavings in the oil change indicated internal engine faults, and the car struggled to turn on with throttle and injector problems too.

What could be saved was: a good scrub down of all the interior saw the YouTube personality pick up some new carpets and seats, while the body was also restored into the best condition that it could be before being fired up.

BMW M6 restoration project pledged to finish

The user didn’t quite get the BMW back to its finest form though.

The once abandoned supercar was backed into a garage where BradenBuildz revealed that they would be preparing for the next stage of restoration after securing the title.

However, they have pledged to get this abandoned supercar back on the road one way or another.

As restoration projects go, getting this car back up and running would be quite an impressive feat, up there with the ‘worst abandoned supercar‘ of all time.
