Man got his hands on USA’s cheapest Tesla Model 3 and got a surprise

A Californian man got his hands on the country’s cheapest Tesla Model 3 and it was an eye opening experience.

YouTuber DennisCW bagged himself a bargain when he picked up the car for $13,000.

Considering that the average Model 3’s price starts at around $44k, this is an impressive saving.

From the outside, the car looked to be in good shape.

What sort of condition was this Tesla Model 3 in?

Upon arriving at the lot, Dennis took a look at the car’s exterior.

The car has 134,000 miles on it and is from either 2018 or 2019, so it’s hardly a brand new car straight off the lot.

It’s certainly not clocking in as many as this Greek taxi driver and his Mercedes 240D.

That being said, the car was looking in good shape.

Besides some minor scuffing, its blue body was clean and the tires were brand new.

But as is often true in life, it’s what’s on the inside that counts, right?

So, how was the interior holding up?

The first thing that Dennis noted was the cracking of the leather on the armrest.

It doesn’t look particularly appealing and made the front seat area look a little worn out and tired.

But the rest of the interior was looking pretty good, especially with its high mileage taken into account.

But there was a second car up for grabs, which he also took a look at.

Would it be an improvement on the first?

How the black car fared compared to the blue

From the get-go, Dennis noted that there was ‘nothing crazy’ in terms of flaws.

There was a scuff on the trunk and a light coating of dust, but it otherwise looked fine.

It was the inside which really set this car apart.

Right off the bat, the arm rest wasn’t looking like a dry reptile’s back, so that was a good start.

All in all, this second Tesla was judged to be better value for money.

Dennis explained: “At 94 percent battery, it’s at 157 miles which is pretty low.

“It has 130,000 miles [on the odometer] and has autopilot, full self driving computer.

“This one might be the better purchase just because [of that].”

He was generally impressed with what he saw.

Although he said aspects of the blue Model 3 were ‘questionable’, he said it was in ‘spectacular’ condition otherwise.

In the grand scheme of things, what’s a bit of worn out leather?

At least the car’s interior wasn’t ravaged by a man in a bear suit – which happened to a bunch of Los Angeles residents.
