A TikTok influencer and her partner booked an outlandishly expensive first-class ticket from New York City to Dubai.

The couple shared videos across their social media channels to document the trip and the question is, is it worth it?

Replying to @Terinee P what it’s really like to fly in Emirates First class to Dubai on a 12 hour flight✨🥂 we used points to upgrade and for a long haul flight like this one it’s totally worth it for the extra comfort, dining options, shower & bottomless bar. Do you think it’s worth the $15,000 price tag? #emiratesfirstclass #emiratesairlines #emirates #firstclass #planetok #luxurytravel #luxuryflight #luxurylifestyle

It can cost up to $15,000 for a one-way ticket, but the couple managed to pay ‘just’ $1,400 in taxes (each) because they used Emirates points.

We wonder how many trips it might take to accrue that many points but let’s not digress.

The first-class suite looks spacious and comfortable, with plush leather seats and plenty of legroom.

Privacy is obviously a big selling point when it comes to first-class travel, so you’ll be happy to know you can close the suite door with the click of a button.

You also get a Bulgari amenity kit, with Bulgari perfume, lip balm, lotion and Colgate toothpaste.

The first-class ticket also includes pajamas, a snack basket, and your own mini bar.

You can order anything you want from the menu, whenever you want it, including bottomless Dom Perignom champagne and caviar.

In addition to all of that, you also get a movie snack menu, with beef sliders and, of course, de rigueur pop corn.

If you’re not interested in the movies and TV shows you can watch from the massive screen in your suite, you can always head to the bar and watch live sports events.

When you’re ready to sleep, the crew will make up your bed for you.

On top of all that, you also have access to a spa, which includes a shower with hot water.

So back to the original question, is it worth it?

It’s almost as good as flying private, then again it’s very nearly just as expensive.
