This 1968 Chevrolet Impala two-door coupe barn find is in seriously good condition with no rust and a pristine interior – and it’s also got a bit of a surprise on the odometer.

The 1968 Impala had undergone a bit of a facelift since the original model was launched in 1965, while the interiors had also been spruced up.

The Impala’s production run ended in 1970, but the cars went down in automotive history for their sleek design.

The 1968 Chevrolet Impala has been very looked after

And one great example was recently rescued in a barn find.

Although the car is more than 50 years old, it’s clearly been very well looked after by its previous owner.

In addition to its interior looking like it’s just rolled off the production line, the Impala is free of rust and offers ‘a smooth ride with plenty of power under the hood’.

Sounds good to us.

Not only that but – despite its age – it has just 63,000 miles on the clock.

Yep, while some motorists like to really get their money’s worth and clock up more than a million miles on the odometer – this 1968 Impala has been very gently used and, as a result, has remained in tip-top condition.

The barn find is listed on eBay where the seller explains that it still runs like a dream and has a clean vehicle history and has not been registered overseas.

‘A stunning piece of automotive history’

“This 1968 Chevrolet Impala 2-door coupe is a stunning piece of automotive history,” the listing states.

“With its sleek black exterior and black interior, this collector car is sure to turn heads.”

According to the seller, the car has an 8-cylinder engine and automatic transmission, which offer plenty of power.

While many barn find classic cars are likely to require a bit of work to get them back to their former glory – such as this 1959 Chevy Impala – this one is good to go.

Bidding for the car currently stands at just $9,900 – meaning someone could snap themselves up a bargain.
