The 1968 Dodge Charger was brought out for an exciting race against the modern high-performance car – a Dodge Demon 170.
It will certainly have brought back memories for some classic car fans.
The Dodge Charger was a beast of its time, known for amazing looks and wild power.
Even though it didn’t have the sporty appearance of modern cars, it could easily hold its own against any sports car of that era.

Dodge Charger brought back to life with modifications
Westen, from the Westen Champlin YouTube channel, freshened the old memories by bringing the neglected muscle car out of his garage.
The car wasn’t in great shape after years of neglect, but with some key modifications, it was ready to hit the road again.
Westen gave the Charger the fixes it needed, such as repairing the engine, adding a new power steering wheel, steering box, power brakes, and other needed touch-ups.
Despite still looking a bit rough, the Charger was ready for action.
Westen had fun pushing it to the limits, doing burnouts, and speeding down the road.
However, it wasn’t all smooth sailing.
At one point, the car’s exhausts fell off during a test drive, and the heat was so intense that it burned Westen’s Crocs.
A crying shame, we’re sure you’ll agree.
After making all the necessary repairs, the Charger was roaring once again.
1968 Dodge Charger vs Dodge Demon 170
It was finally time to race it against a modern beast – the Dodge Demon 170.
As the race began, the Demon zoomed past the Charger with ease.
Unfortunately, the Charger couldn’t keep up and even stopped midway through the race, possibly due to too much pressure.
The poor 1968 Dodge Charger had to be towed back to the garage.
While the Charger didn’t win the race, it remains an iconic American muscle car.
It may not match modern cars in performance, but it’s still a joy to drive – just ask Westen.
