If you’re an aviation enthusiast, you probably have seen endless videos of airplanes taking off in unusual ways, but this footage of an Airbus A380 take-off is a sight to behold because the plane soars to the sky almost vertically.

This specific A380 in the video was part of a demonstration at the Paris Air Show in 2017, which is an ideal place for showing off its skills.

You see, the aircraft is huge — and watching it perform any maneuvers is not something you see every day.

The majestic nature of the Airbus A380

The Airbus A380 is easily one of the world’s most iconic airplanes ever.

And that’s solely because of its immense size, which makes it the largest passenger aircraft in the world.

If parked alongside a Very Light Jet (VLJ) private aircraft, the size difference makes you wonder how something like it can perform tricks while up in the air.

Some billionaires even use it as a private jet — well, it could be called a private flying palace since it’s not comparable to any other ‘regular’ private aircraft that most people own.

There have been numerous design ideas for converting it into a flying palace.

While some did come to fruition, others remained as ideas and never left the pages.

It has cool tricks up its sleeve

Since we’re talking about the sheer size of the Airbus A380, the entirety of its hardware functions on a different level than other relatively smaller airplanes.

For instance, its evacuation slide system includes 16 slides that can evacuate everyone aboard in less than 90 seconds while they’re seated 75 feet above ground.

If that isn’t a cool detail, then what is?

Anyhow, the video showing the Airbus A380 performing an almost vertical takeoff was posted on the YouTube channel GreatFlyer.

Since it was at an air show, there was a sizeable crowd to watch it perform some moves.

The video further shows the plane making more moves while in the air, as well as the landing.

It’s certainly not the first time we’ve seen it take off, but it remains a great sight regardless.
