A customized Lucid Air Sapphire is the world’s fastest armored vehicle and can hit speeds of up to 320km/h (200mph).
While the car may look like your standard Sapphire, it’s actually completely bulletproof and crammed full of other personal safety features.
Created by US Armor Group, the car’s upgraded bodywork can withstand .44 Mangum rounds.
US Armor Group says the car is basically indestructible thanks to its military-grade composite armor. Impressive stuff.

The customized Lucid Air Sapphire is still extremely fast
The Lucid Air Sapphire is – to put it mildly – pretty damn quick.
Earlier this year, the car managed to complete the quarter mile in 8.930 seconds, bestowing upon it the title of ‘fastest production sedan in the world’.
And we all got to watch on in awe as it thrashed a Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 in a drag race.
Now this customized Sapphire is adding to the car’s already impressive resume by becoming ‘the world’s fastest armored vehicle’, according to US Armor Group.
The lightweight composite material used to fortify the Sapphire’s doors and body panels is 10 times stronger than steel, but five times lighter.
This means that the customization didn’t add a whole heap of weight onto the Sapphire – just 174kg (385lbs) according to US Armor Group – and the car can still hit a top speed of 32km/h (200mph).
The car comes with lots of cool security features
Alongside the beefed-up bodywork, the armored car has an ‘impenetrable’ Wi-Fi system to keep your private data safe from hackers, a one-touch button to immediately call for help, and a scanner system with access to local police and fire departments.
There’s also the opportunity to add even more security features including electro-shock door handles, pepper spray dispensers, and gun ports.
“At U.S. Armor Group, our mission has always been to protect our clients against any and all potential threats, however, we did not want to sacrifice in terms of performance or amenities,” said US Armor Group CEO and founder Jeffrey Engen.
“With the armored Air Sapphire, our company has taken one of the world’s fastest production vehicles ever built and transformed it into the fastest armored car on the planet.”
But you’ll be expected to part with a huge chunk of cash to get your hands on one, as the car comes with a $475,000 price tag.
