Chinese cars are quickly becoming some of the most innovative in the world, but this futuristic concept RV – the Chery Journeo – epitomizes the advances.

With many companies like BYD, Chery, and Jianghuai leading the charge as EV rivals to Tesla, the creativity is increasing.

They’re not just cars anymore.

And the Chery Journeo concept might just be the wildest futuristic concept yet.

The Chery Journeo concept RV is a vehicle from the future

This one is for those who love to camp, as the Chery Journeo concept RV is the ultimate recreational vehicle.

Described as ‘Travel 4.0,’ the hybrid vehicle can take you from city traffic to a night under the stars in minutes, as it’s a literal transformer.

With the ability to take the roof down in seconds and swivel the seats into a daybed or a whole communal sofa area, it’s the closest thing to an Optimus Prime RV we’ve seen yet.

The doors are built with removable cushions that pad out the sofas and seats. They can also be made into a hammock if that’s your vibe.

It even extends to fit five feet of extra space, allowing for you to lie down. In addition, the rear slides out in ‘lounge mode’, the dashboard folds away, and the doors move outside the vehicle.

Oh, and the front trunk, or the frunk, houses a kitchen with a grill and an exterior bench that can be activated without the full transformation.

The wide-open array leaves you vulnerable to rain and sunburn, but that’s covered too with a massive flower-petal awning.

The Chinese Chery Journeo hasn’t had a price set, but some performance specs have been revealed, such as a claimed 1,550-mile range. Which is incredible.

Recreational vehicles are becoming increasingly impressive, such as the Ford F-150-based Ascender by 27 North worth $1.2m.

But Chinese concept cars are leading the charge, and it’s not just Chery at the wheel.
