A Missouri police officer might have made one of the weirdest traffic stops ever – a flying saucer UFO with two humanoids inside.

It was certainly an exciting day at work for a Missouri sheriff’s deputy.

During a routine patrol, the deputy spotted a flying saucer UFO cruising down the highway.

A cop pulls over a UFO

After seeing a bizarre UFO-shaped vehicle on the highway, the Missouri cop naturally pulled it over for an inspection.

However, it was definitely not as awkward as pulling over a driverless car.

The unconventional car looked similar to Rick and Morty’s interdimensional cruiser.

According to a post on the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, the ‘humanoids’ inside the vehicle were also identified as ‘friendly,’ assured they ‘come in peace.’

“Well, you never know what will be traveling through Crawford County but this one was a little out of this world. These friendly humanoids, who have come in peace, are heading west to Roswell, NM for a festival,” wrote the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.

“There was a brief conversation about his out of space, correction, out of state registration, but he assured us that he would take care of that issue when he returned to Krypton. He was also warned about our strict enforcement of warp speed on the interstate and to keep his phasers on stun only while traveling,” they added.

It was certainly an unusual traffic stop that turned into a hilarious UFO sighting and interspecies first contact.

Street-legal flying saucer

In reality, the street-legal flying saucer UFO car was built years ago by Steve Anderson.

Anderson is a mechanic and actor from Indianapolis, Indiana.

Based on a Geo Metro, the driveable UFO retains the original 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine and features an atomic gearbox.

The UFO car had previously also been the subject of a video report by Indianapolis media WTHR 13 News.

So, it is not the first time that the custom car has gotten some attention online.
