This customized Airbus private jet has everything you could want.

The second ACJ TwoTwenty was handed over to its new owners in Indianapolis, Indiana.

It’s safe to say that this plane has a very different vibe to its older sibling, released last year.

The Airbus private jet with a difference

The first ACJ 220, designed for hourly charter flights out of Dubai, was likened to a nightclub thanks to its overhead lighting.

It had a six-zone interior, with a main lounge, mid-section toilets, a gallery, and a rear suite.

The lounge even has its own shower.

There were 18 seats in total on board the aircraft, including 10 that would recline when sleep was needed.

Designed to fly 12 hours – 5,650 nautical miles – Airbus has pushed that it has many advantages over other private jets.

With cabin space three times the size of a large business jet and the option to personalize the interior, the lure is easy to see.

Speaking of the latest model, Richard Gaona, the CEO of Comlux, said: “This latest one has slightly more corporate styling, but uses 70 percent of the design of the first one.

“You see that, once you understand the concept of the A220.”

The brand-new ACJ 220 has 77 possible interior-design configurations.

The design timeline

However, this means that the process of building a plane takes a lot longer.

Ashley Moulton, a designer who works with Comlux, said: “We sometimes start talking to clients 14 months before the aircraft reaches us.”

One ACJ 220 took about eight months to complete, following 14 months spent on the interior.

It is hoped that this process will speed up as things move forward.

Comlux has signed an agreement with Airbus to purchase the first 15 ACJ 220s, with four to six of them expected to move through the Indianapolis facility in 2026.

In other private jet news, Floyd Mayweather just ‘bought another toy’, a second private jet called ‘Air Mayweather 2’.

It’s almost as luxe as the former fighter’s $10m Vegas mansion.
